Hey people! Long time no blog. I was just too lazy. heh.

Yesterday basically we watched this geo presentation prepared by mrs ng on food starvation and all those poor kids starving. It touched me so much. I mean here in Spore we have more than enough to eat and all, and sometimes we even waste food, and there they are suffering like hell. Poor people. And I dint know that “where is my love” by black eyed peas, Justin Timberlake was super meaningful. I have never actually listened to the lyrics before. Esp the part where the lyrics go, “where is the humanity?” Yup, srsly where is the humanity? I find this super unfair, but we are part of the picture too. My new goal in future: to make a difference to those people there. I don’t know when I will accomplish it, probably when I grow up and start earning my own pay. I might be embarking on this with Ivana.

Also, I am deciding on sponsoring a family, with some others, for $40 per month. I feel so bad after knowing their states, and I cant help not doing anything and just watching it all happen. It’s so heartless….and where is the humanity? Nobody is gonna stop me in this initiative, and nobody will.

Yup, and if you guys want to make a difference as well, this wont take that much time. If you have time to read my blog means, you can afford this. This is just a simple favour+plea from Vicky. Go to www.thehungersite.com and click on the button. Everytime you click, 1.1 cups of food is given to the poor by the sponsorers. Just click on the button everyday. It’s FREE. Wont cost you much. If all of us do it, estimate the amount of food that will be given the poor. Come on people, let’s all be humane and do this little service for the poor, which will definitely go a long way. And together, WE CAN MAKE A DIFFENCE!

Hello everyone. I think long time since I last blogged. Alot of things happened on the last few days. I think I should start off wiht Friday then. (:

FRIDAY:

Me and vj got called to rulang by our dear hoggy for ethnographic session with 6u. 6r'06 people, you guys rmber? The session we used to have with his ex students last year? Yeah that one. And apparently, Weibo, Edward and Wei Chin was doing CIP in rulang by helping hoggy to do gardening. Okay, where was I? Oh ya, I reached Rulang like slightly late due to some unfortunate thg that happend in the morning. Yeah, then me and vj went up to 6u. I was like expecting to be like sabotaged by hoggy, as apparently I heard the preparation that he had made 6u do for this ethnographic session. Yeah, hoggy apparently told alot of stuff about me and vj to 6u la. Stuff that I would not like to be told. And he knew it. He had this evil grin on his face. Anyway, I could not believe that I was so politically correct for once. plus for those in front if you noticed, i was smsing when vj was speaking. I passed all the questions where I went like, "errr" to vj. Haha. Typical me. Yeah, and I guessed it went smooth. Hoggy thanked me for giving politically correct answers to 6u. And hoggy also called 2 students of his 6u'02 batch back, namely sacharissa (who is now in s'pore polytechnic), and hewlett (who is now in hwa chong jc). They are really really nice people. Then when hoggy was like introducing them to 6u, he was like, hewlett wants to be something that I highly think that none of you here would want to be. He wants to be a psychologist. And then, I raised up my hand imeediately also. Then hoggy was like, oh, you want to be a psychologist also. I think I learnt quite a bit about my future career path from hewlett. After the ethnography sessions with both batches, we went to wait for hoggy to end of his supp class in the HOD room, cos he promised to treat us to lunch! Then, there I talked to Sacharissa and Hewlett for a while about school stuff and all. (: After his supp class, hog treated 6 of us to Mac (plus weibo and edward), and we were like, we can walk, it's very near, and then hoggy was like, no can squeeze, can squeeze. Typical him. Then we ended up to have 6 people squeezed into hoggy's car. Haha, lol. Hoggy was real generous. I estimated he spent at least 40 bucks in Mac on us. Whoa. Haha, we all sat down and chatted about all the random stuff, and I remember hoggy once saying something like, it's so nice to see my different batches of students sitting down and having lunch with me. Haha, lol. Yeah, and then after that the 6r people went back to rulang with hoggy and we slacked a little while before going home (: That was Friday.

I think I shall blog about Saturday later. Dont feel like now. Until then, bye!

Hey people!

Felt bored and so sick and tired of the holidays, so felt like blogging about something that I came across...This piece of information may be helpful to you guys.

DISCLAIMER : KAREN ADAMANTLY STATES THAT I SHOULD WRITE THIS, SO IN ORDER NOT TO MAKE HER FEEL DISAPPOINTED, I HAVE DECIDED TO WRITE THIS : "The information of this petai in the blog post is the courtesy of an email I received" (Karen, are you happy now? i will kill you if you say you arent)

AN APPLE A PETAI a day keeps the doctor away. Yeah people, scientific and statistics have proven that when you compare a petai to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrates, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around. Okay, I think most of us (like me) dont exactly know what a petai is, so this is what a petai looks like :

Yeah, so THAT'S a petai. Look familiar eh? Okay, now for the nutritional value. You will be AMAZED after reading the wonders the petai can do! Haha, and maybe you NEVER will look at the petai in another way. Apparently, this is an advice from a UKM Medical Doctor. (heck, wonder what's that)

Petai contains three natural sugars -sucrose, fructose and glucose.Combined with fiber, petai gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proved that just two servings of petai provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder petai is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes. But energy isn't the only way petai can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

Depression:
According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND among people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating petai. This is because petai contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.

PMS(premenstrual syndrome):
Forget the pills - eat petai. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.

Anaemia:
High in iron, petai can stimulate the production of haemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anaemia.

Blood Pressure:

This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the petai industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.

Brain Power :
200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school were helped through their exams this year by eating petai at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.

Constipation:
High in fiber, including petai in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.

Hangovers:
One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a petai milkshake, sweetened with honey. The petai calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.

Heartburn:
Petai has a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating petai for soothing relief.

Morning Sickness :
Snacking on petai between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.

Mosquito bites :
Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of the petai skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing
swelling and irritation.

Nerves:
Petai is high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.

Overweight:
Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and crisps. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady. style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">

Ulcers:
Petai is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.

Temperature control :
Many other cultures see petai as a "cooling" fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In hoiland, for example, pregnant women eat petai to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) :
Petai can help SAD sufferers because they contain the natural mood enhancer, tryptophan.

Smoking:

Petai can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.

Stress:
Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body's water balance. When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels. These can be rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium petai snack.

Strokes:
According to research in "The New England Journal of Medicine, "eating petai as part of a regular diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by as much as 40%".

Warts:
Those keen on natural alternatives swear that if you want to kill off a wart, take a piece of petai and place it on the wart. Carefully hold the petai in place with a plaster or surgical tape!

So, as you can see, petai really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrates, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around.

Haha, I can imagine the petai stocks decreasing rapidly in the markets now. Tha's about it for now! Bye and take care!

Hello. I was googling when I found this poem on the net, and yeah, it has alot of meaning. This is not necessarily needed to be comprehended, so it's okay if you guys dont get it, cos nobody ever gets me

I AM NOT OKAY

All of my walls that I have built surround me whole,
Cause I'm too afraid to let someone reach my soul.
Everything that I've been through; no one will know,
Doesn't matter how hard they try; I'll never show.

There's many hidden bruises engraved on my fate,
With no one bending over backwards to relate.
Silent words go drifting across the room unheard,
Erasing all of the things in my life that mattered.

Days seem like a blink of the eye; goes by too fast,
I'm still grasping for some happiness from my past.
Reaching into thin air but not finding a single thing,
Being pushed away by the caring of an angels wing.

Unsure of who I've become and who I want to be,
Leaning over the edge; stealing all that I can see.
The keys to unlock my future are buried beneath,
Inside of my skin; crawling carelessly underneath.

Smiles painted on beautifully like a piece of art,
While feeling the torture of being ripped apart.
Crashing tears that haven't felt the grounds surface,
Each and every tear drop represent the sadness.

My lips are sealed with feelings that I can't display,
And though all the pain remains the same; I'm okay.

Why is destiny and fate so...indescribable? And why has it to be the same person as a scapegoat. Concealing how you feel is hard, but yet with so much that's happening, forcing a smile, making it seem that everything's oh-so-alright is challenging. It isnt helping to look positive, on the bright side of things, cos nothing is ever bright and worth looking forward to...it just makes it seem worse, because fate is always proving wrong. Does the world even understand, what is underneath that smile, underneath it all? Everything is screwed. Everyone is screwed. The whole world is screwed. I really hope circumstances change...
